Generic Protocol for 3-D scanning of Fish Specimens at TUBRI
- Scanning is done using the NextEngine 3d scanner.
- We have the mutli-drive and auto-drive, but we use the auto-drive exclusively.
- Specimens are held in a hobby vise with insect pins.
- "Marking Magic", an aerosol chalk-based quilting stencil spray, is used to coat the specimens with chalk prior to scanning.
